North Atlantic Snow is a growing heavy duty commercial outfit serving high profile accounts across New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts.

A Day In The Life

 

There’s a lot of ambiguity that comes with working in the snow and ice removal industry. When our work revolves around the weather, we have to stay on our feet!

Many of our younger team members, and first-timers are naturally thrown off by this level of uncertainty. Sometimes there can be weeks on end without snow, and people begin to wonder if they’re still apart of the team and whether or not they need to re-apply or start the process all over. Luckily you don’t!

We do our best to keep a consistent line of communication open all winter. Scroll down below to see an example of what our timeline of communicaiton would look like prior to a winter storm:

Up to 2 Weeks Prior

1st Storm Alert – Check In

  • Up to 2 week prior to when we’re expecting a storm, we’ll reach out via text to ask if you’d like to work the storm. Answering Yes to this will keep you opted-in for future shift details/updates.
Up to 7 Days Prior

2nd Storm Alert – Details

  • Roughly 5-7 days before the storm, your regional manager will be reaching out to schedule you and assign you to a route
The Days Leading Up

3rd Storm Alert – Shift + Start Time

  • During the days leading up to a storm (2-3 days before). Your regional manager will confirm with you your shift, position and to give you an estimated start time
The Day Before

Final Storm Alert – Confirmation

  • The day before (or day of depending on what we know) you’ll get your final storm alert. Confirming exactly when and where your shift will begin!

As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and the latest snow removal technologies, ensuring that you can tackle any snowstorm efficiently and effectively. Safety is at the core of everything we do, and we provide comprehensive training to all our employees, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to perform their tasks safely and confidently.

Area Site Managers

Area Site Managers

Full-Time

As an area site manager, be a part of our management team coordinating shovel crews, plow trucks and loaders in a specific geographic area. This position requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of the snow management industry, trucks and equipment as well as extra dedication to completing the work during and after each storm. During winter storms we have 200+ employees and 100+ trucks and loaders servicing 300+ commercial accounts throughout New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Heavy Equipment Operator

Full-Time | Part-Time | Temporary

Plow snow with a well-maintained, late model front end loader, skid steer or backhoe at one of our many commercial accounts. Experience operating heavy equipment is required. Snow-related equipment experience is a plus, but we will also train good operators with the right attitude. Our seasoned management team prepares a detailed storm plan before every event and communicates this plan 48 hours or more leading up to it. You will always know where to go, what to do, and who to ask when you need help.

Plow Truck Operator

Plow Truck Operator

Full-Time | Part-Time | Temporary

Plow commercial properties with a late model F-550 truck and Fisher V-Plow. Routes are located throughout Southern Maine, Seacoast NH and Northeastern MA. Use our simple phone app to log hours and route activity. Some routes are plow-only while others will include a shoveler riding shotgun. Our seasoned management team prepares a detailed storm plan before every event and communicates this plan 48 hours or more leading up to it.

Shovelers / Small Equipment Operators

Full-Time | Part-Time | Temporary

Our Sidewalk Service Team manages snow and ice on walkways and sidewalks at our commercial accounts using various methods from snowblowers and shovels to ATV’s and snow-specific machinery. Our seasoned management team prepares a detailed storm plan before every event and communicates this plan 48 hours or more leading up to it. You will always know where to go, what to do, and who to ask when you need help.
